VerifiedIsabel N2024-09-09Start your world wonders list here Remarkable experience. A beginner-friendly start to the wonders of the world. So much culture and history within the facilities.Verifiedinteligente922024-09-08Una bellissima esperienza grazie a Viktor! Grazie da Martina e MatteoVerifiedThung6732024-09-08Practical tip for self drivers into Chechen Itza Practical tips for self drivers: drive all the way up to the formal entry to the Chechen Itza premises to pay to park for your vehicle. Pay at the entrance for formal tickets and perhaps once through the official entrance choose an official guide. We had an official one for 50 Euro. Chechen Itza is obviously worth the visit.VerifiedWilliam2024-09-08Great site, to many vendors The site was great even with being unable to climb it. The only major turn off was all the vendors basically squating all over the site and trails. The literally have trails of there own into the site cut the fence and set up shop. Their tents and constant hackle take away from the experience. I don't know wht they are allowed there, when I had to pay to get in?VerifiedArman S.2024-09-04Chichen Itza YES! Tour with guide NO! This would be my second visit to Chichen Itza and I was not less impressed by the Mayan site but was very disappointed by tour organizer and Chichen Itza entrance. If you plan to record anything in Chichen Itza, you'll have a hard time! They have prohibited all professional cameras from being used inside Chichen Itza complex. OK, I can understand that, but to prohibit all selfie sticks and cellphone stabilizers is ridiculous! How is someone supposed to record anything or make a selfie without selfie stick and stabilizer? Tour I took was just pulling money out of tourist pockets! First stop we had was at cenote, that was great experience. Anything after that was just cash grab! We stopped at Mayan tourist plaza, tour guide was selling Mayan birth certificates for $30 US and when we arrived at the Mayan plaza, they were just selling, selling, selling , from stones to sculptures. All souvenirs were 10 times more expensive than even Cancun Airport! Rude servers at buffet restaurant like a lunatic really. Ariving at Chichen Itzá only to have 2 hours there is ridiculous! Tour guide spoke for about 1,5 hours and half an hour for free roaming. Ridicilous! SPEND MONEY, BUY TICKET AND GET BACK! If you decide to go to Chichen Itza, DO NOT TAKE A TOUR! Take a transportation there and spend half a day at Chichen Itza! There is so much to see and discover. You can find an online tour guide and avoid guides that all tell different stories. Both of my guides, first time and now second time told very different stories. Do they take a tour guide course or something? Any how, go there and spend at least 4 hours there. VerifiedAl_Mey19852024-09-03Amazing Wow, what more can be said about this place that hasn't been said already. If you're in the region you must visit. However, bare in mind 1. The heat and 2.
