Exceptional Exhibition and Visitor Screenings
With 2,800 square meters of extension, the museum displays a collection of 1,000 archaeological pieces, some of which emerged during the works of the Mayan Train, offering a renewed perspective on the Mayan culture.
The National Institute of Anthropology and History (INAH) has orchestrated this initiative, locating the museum a short distance from the ancestral city, recognized worldwide as a world heritage site and wonder of the modern world.
Interaction and Learning
The venue will have seven exhibition rooms and interactive areas, guaranteeing an educational and exciting experience for its visitors, according to Osorio León, director of the INAH.
With the opening of this space, a significant increase in the flow of tourists is anticipated, estimating the visit of more than 3 million people this year, which reaffirms Chichen Itza as the busiest archaeological destination in America.
